The first ever Bristol Craft Beer Festival will take place from 2 – 3 September 2016, combining the very best local and international brewers with live music and hearty food.
The Bristol Craft Beer Festival comes to the city following huge success in London, bringing a celebration of quality, independent breweries and offering the chance to sample flavours from across the globe. An exciting addition to the annual Bristol Beer Week, the festival will take place at Motion’s recently refurbished Skate Park. Whether its fruity, hoppy, dark or pale, there’s so much more to beer than a pint of lager and a packet of crisps…
The craft beer scene has exploded in recent years, and Bristol is leading the pack with a thriving community of keen consumers and local brewers. Big names at the festival include Arbor, Wiper & True, Lost & Grounded, and Wild Beer Co.; if you fancy a pre-festival taster, the latter’s brand new bar/restaurant can be found at Wapping Wharf.
Brewers from Abroad
Alongside local Bristol and UK talent, crafty brewers from across the US and Europe will be descending, bringing old favourites and new innovations in the form of over 200 beers – come thirsty! Norway-based Lervig Aktiebryggeri and Stone Brewing from Berlin are definitely ones to look out for.
Bountiful Bar Snacks
Say goodbye to day-old bar snacks and hello to street food and BBQs using locally sourced ingredients and suppliers. From charcuterie to gourmet hot dogs, you’ll want for nothing when searching for the perfect beer accompaniment.
Once you’ve had your fill of the fruity, hoppy, malty flavours from across the world, the good times will continue to roll with a stellar music lineup. Recent appearances at the London Craft Beer Festival have included The Cuban Brothers and Craig Charles, and Bristol’s vibrant music scene is sure to delight – city regulars such as DJ Jett, hip-hop group Sip the Juice and beatboxer Shlomo will perfectly compliment the chilled festival vibe.
