The rumours are true. Domestic Gods now score the most ‘Man Points’ in Bristol. Yes, Bristolians are most impressed by homemaking skills when it comes to the measure of modern manhood.
Slaters menswear launches a search for inspirational local men to be recognised at the Measure of a Man awards show on the opening night of its Bristol store, hosted by Question of Sport Team Captain Matt Dawson MBE on 27 April.
So which traits do Bristolians find most attractive in their ideal man?
Home is definitely where the heart is for Bristolians with being a good cook (85%) and hands-on dad (83%) voted the most attractive traits in men.
The survey also reveals that 42% of South West women opt for kind and considerate men above cheeky chaps (23%) or rough and ready lads (7.5%). With looking dapper in a suit (77%) voted more attractive than physical strength (69%), Slaters is set to be a popular addition to Union Street, offering an impressive range of suits and totally free alterations.
This expertise is sure to be welcomed as one in four local men have no idea what their chest or inside leg measurement is! Men over 55 are the most likely to know their measurements, while 18-25 year olds are least likely to, which is surprising as the survey revealed that this youthful age group is the most likely to cite ‘dapper’ as the most attractive style for a man.
The survey was commissioned by Slaters menswear to launch a search for inspirational local men to be recognised in The Measure of a Man Awards, set to be hosted by Matt Dawson MBE at the opening of Slaters’ Bristol store on Wednesday 27 April.
