Bristol’s Tincan Coffee Co. will be hosting its first Latte Art Throw down ‘Latte Art Showdown 2.0’ at their cafe in Clare Street at 6.30pm on Wednesday 26 July
Many of us are familiar with the intricate patterns created on our morning coffee by Bristol’s baristas. Latte Art ‘Throw Downs’ are a chance for baristas to go head to head and show off their skills at pouring a range of latte art patterns. Latte Art Showdown 2.0 is being pitted as a battle between Bristol and Cardiff with the best baristas from both cities coming together to celebrate their creative talents in one of Bristol’s best new cafes. The first leg took place back in February at Hortons Coffee House in Newport with the Bristol baristas winning. For this rematch the very best from Bristol and Cardiff will pour off against each other over three rounds to find out if Bristol really does have the best barista!
The event which will feature a live DJ, Music and local beers is being organised in conjunction with Clifton Coffee Roasters the local artisan roasters who roast all of Tincan’s coffee to order in small batches from their house blend to their regularly changing guest coffees. Bristol based baristas who want to get involved and battle it out for the £100 prize money should email firstname.lastname@example.org but spaces are limited so don’t delay.
