There are plenty of fun events for all the family to enjoy over the festive period at The New Room – the oldest Methodist building in the world.
Experience an evening of seasonal carols and glad tidings courtesy of Bristol Hippodrome Choir on 7 December, 7pm. Tickets £10 / £8 concessions. Available via Bristol Hippodrome Choir website.
Folk at the New Room presents an evening of seasonal folk music and traditional carols with Laura Smyth & Ted Kemp, featuring Bristol Folk Singers on 14 December. Café open from 6.30pm, doors open 7pm, concert starts at 7.30pm. Adult £12, concessions £10. Tickets available in the New Room cafe and shop, or on Eventbrite.
The New Room’s annual Christmas communion and carol service will take place on 15 December, 1pm.
Enjoy an evening Carols by Candlelight service in the historic chapel on 15 December at 6pm.
To get you in the festive mood, there will be a series of short carol services on 16 December at the Shoppers’ Carols. Services will take place at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. All are welcome.
There will also be a pop up nativity that all ages can get involved with on 23 December, 2pm.
The Broadmead courtyard will also be lit up with fairy lights and there will be a giant advent calendar along the wall, from 1 December – 2 January, which will expand as the month goes on and a new picture will be revealed each day.
