Just under an hour up the motorway, Bristolian art lovers will discover The Fresh Art Fair, a brand new national show at Cheltenham Racecourse, with a mission to make quality art more accessible to the regions.
Featuring over 5,000 artworks, 400 artists and representation from 45 galleries, The Fresh Art Fair was launched by former chairman of Saatchi and Saatchi subsidiaries Anthony Wardle and his daughter Eleanor.
Some of the established and emerging artists with works on show include notable pop-artists and co-designers of the iconic Sgt Pepper album cover Jann Haworth and Sir Peter Blake, as well as Bridget Riley, Sophie Ryder, Alan Halliday, Edward Noott and up-and-coming artists Paul Wright, Charlie O’Sullivan and Iryna Yermalova.
Other highlights include free on-the-spot valuations from fine art auctioneers Bonhams, a mobile work of art in the form of pop-art double-decker the CCA Art Bus, a live art demonstration by flamboyant British portrait artist Paul Oz and a host of ‘meet the artist’ opportunities.

Tickets: Three-day show tickets are £6 per person. One ticket admits two when bought online. The Friday is a free day for all visitors. Children under 16 years old have free entry throughout the Fair. Tickets for the Thursday evening Private View may be bought online.
