Feast your eyes and ears festivalgoers: following the sell-out success of Shindig Weekender, which kickstarted the summer in May, the team are bringing you a feast on 2 – 3 September to round off the season.
The event will be held at Critchill Manor, Frome, Somerset, BA11 4LJ. Two themed venues will be hosting the likes of Crazy P, My Bad Sister, The Allergies, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Mr Thing, WBBL, Shaka Loves You, X-Ray Ted, and Bristol’s Women In Music Takeover. Gates open at midday on Saturday and the feast starts at 4pm. It’s a relaxed affair – expect long tables and eating alongside soon-to-be-friends.
To feast or not to feast? That is your ticket choice. From £79 you’ll be down for the three-course meal and camping. Or for just £49 you can see all the acts above, camp and enjoy the food that the stallholders will be purveying. The capacity is only 700, so intimate, compact and continuing with the Shindig Weekender vibe: no one is a stranger, just fellow funk hunters and supporters.
The theme for the night is nautical – so who knows what you’ll find between the devil and the deep blue sea? Let’s push the boat out and go overboard before we batten down the hatches. Loose canons definitely welcome. We’ll like the cut of your jib. You get the picture. And for that reason it’s over-18s only. Music finishes at 3am.
As well as the two themed venues, visitors can also make the most of a Prosecco & Cocktail Bar and Boutique Camping.
Simon Clarke, co founder says: “We feel that throwing a little Shindig style, social get-together is the perfect way to end the summer and say thank you to those that came to the Weekender and have given us such huge support so far. If you missed it the first time, this is your taster for next year.”
