Librarian Theatre presents Henry V

10th July, 2018 - 20th July, 2018

“Cheerly to sea; the signs of war advance:
No king of England, if not king of France…”

Bristol-based company Librarian Theatre, who specialise in turning libraries into temporary theatres for their regional tours, launch their fourth project this July at the Bristol Shakespeare Festival, with a brand new ‘rapid retelling’ of Henry V, Shakespeare’s epic take on the Battle of Agincourt.

With just two actors and an original score performed by a live musician, watch as Librarian Theatre brings the Siege of Harfleur and Battle of Agincourt to life among the bookshelves of your local library.

The show will visit ten libraries across Bristol in ten days: Emersons Green, Bradley Stoke, Junction 3, The Old Library Eastville, Shirehampton, Southmead, Bedminster, Fishponds, Whitchurch, and Bristol Central Library on College Green.

The show lasts approximately one hour with no interval and is suitable for audiences of all ages.

Tickets range from £5-£8, and can be purchased online via: librariantheatre.com or bristolshakespearefestival.org.uk
