Event Details

World-renowned Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (BOVTS), one of the most successful and well-respected conservatoire drama schools in the UK, will present a live-stream production of two one-act plays by Edward Allan Baker, North of Providence and Dolores, directed by MA Drama Directing graduate, Victor Lirio (main image).

The recent UK government’s ease on restrictions and new social distancing guidelines has allowed for these local theatre artists to produce an innovative, filmed live theatre performance using multi-camera live-stream technology of Mavis, another presenting sponsor.

Filmed in a converted soundstage provided by Bristol-based Urban Creation, the live-stream for these productions will be available on the Bristol Old Vic and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School websites with the following schedule: North of Providence: 07 August at 8PM; Dolores: 08 August at 8PM.

Members of production and technical teams—all from BOVTS Production Arts, Christchurch Studios, and Stage Management courses—are COVID-19 Safety at Work certified and Corona Virus Awareness on Production trained. Best practice for health and safety will be strongly enforced during production.
