From bedding and storage to kitchen essentials, students moving into The Propeller Quarter – the new student accommodation at Brabazon in North Bristol – this September can have everything they need waiting for them on arrival thanks to a new collaboration with IKEA.
Designed to make the move to university that little bit easier, the IKEA service will be particularly useful for those students travelling long distances, arriving from overseas or moving to Bristol without a car.
Students moving in can choose from a selection of curated IKEA Student Packs or create a personalised wish list from products available at the IKEA Bristol store – all to be delivered to their room before arrival. The service also includes discounts on popular products.
Opening this September, the new student accommodation at The Propeller Quarter offers rooms from £180 per week, including all bills and high-speed Wi-Fi, making it one of Bristol’s newest affordable student living options.
Options include a choice of fully furnished shared ensuite cluster flats, private studios and accessible rooms along with study areas, an onsite gym, a cinema lounge, karaoke and gaming rooms, music and content creation studios.
The Propeller Quarter is minutes from UWE Frenchay and has links to all major Bristol campuses – including the new University of Bristol Enterprise Campus – via the new Bristol Brabazon train station, which is opening in Autumn this year. Dedicated Metrobus services are already running through Brabazon.
Students arriving in September will be part of an exciting new destination which has everything they need to both study and socialise – a short distance from Bristol city centre via Metrobus and the soon to open Bristol Brabazon train station. Mokoko bakery is already open at Spitfire Hangar, padel courts, a sauna and immersive golf pods will open later this Summer and an exciting food and drink quarter is coming early next year.

To take advantage of the service, students need to:
- Create an IKEA Family account before either selecting a pre-designed Student Pack or creating a personalised IKEA wish list
- Share their IKEA Family membership number and chosen pack or wish list with the accommodation team at The Propeller Quarter
- IKEA will connect directly with all students, to issue a payment link and confirm the order.
- To ensure your student pack arrives for when you move in, make sure to book by 1 September. The service is available to all students moving into The Propeller Quarter for the 2026/27 academic year.
