Trio of St George's shows raises funds for Slapstick

Bristol’s annual Slapstick festival of screen comedy is putting on a trio of fundraising shows at St George’s, Great George Street, on Sunday 4 October in which three titans of UK showbusiness will share funny and insightful stories about the projects, partnerships, and performances which have seen them entertaining generations of audiences.

The first show – Graeme Garden: Still Clueless After All These Years (2.30pm start)  – features the writer, actor, panel show inventor and star of The Goodies TV series in conversation with broadcaster Samira Ahmed about his six decade long enthusiasm for making people laugh and who he’s met along the way. https://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/whats-on/graeme-garden-still-clueless-after-all-these-years/

The second show – Rick Wakeman: Music, Mayhem and the Movies (5.30pm start)  – finds the keyboard legend sharing hilarious tales from his star-studded work in rock, pop and classical music before introducing and performing a live, improvised, piano accompaniment to one of his favourite Laurel and Hardy comedies. https://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/whats-on/rick-wakeman-music-mayhem-the-movies/

Tickets for individual shows start from £10 or get a 20% discount + a souvenir laminated pass by booking for all three events at the same time.
