This year marks 15 years of Bristol Spiegeltent, and to celebrate, the iconic mirrored venue returns to Bristol Harbourside with its most exciting and diverse programme yet.
Opening on Thursday 26 November, Bristol Spiegeltent will once again transform the harbourside into a vibrant hub for live entertainment, bringing together cabaret, comedy, circus, live music, family shows, orchestral concerts and special events under one spectacular roof.
The much-loved venue continues to champion live performance in all its forms, welcoming audiences of all ages throughout a packed season of shows. This year’s exciting line up features acts such as Bristol’s Big Drag Pageant, Baby Disko, Wallace & Gromit: A Grand Day Out, and Silent Night, Party Night.
Founder and Director Steve Meadows says: “15 years ago, I had just been given the green light by the council to bring the Spiegeltent to Bristol Harbourside, and I was delighted! The brief was simple: produce exciting shows and events and create something special for everyone, for all ages, from 0 to 100!
Each year the ambition is to raise the bar, to improve the experience for all, guests and crew.
I am so proud of what we have been able to achieve, and I can honestly say that this year’s programme is a cracker!”
Made of wood with intricately carved panels, stained glass windows and bevelled mirrors, these hand-hewn pavilions have been used as travelling dance halls, bars, and bohemian entertainment salons since the early 20th century. Draped in decadence, the Spiegeltent is the perfect mix of finery, frippery, nonsense and nostalgia – finished with a dash of style and plenty of seduction.
The festive season in Bristol wouldn’t be the same without it.
